- Not all charcters have been taken from Manix but the initial ones are. The meaning of the phrase isn't that this film is an adaptation of a Mannix book but that this pictures take inspiration from the world of thing s created by Mannix... --GdGourou - Talk to °o° 17 juillet 2009 à 08:26 (CEST)
- This is incorrect, because the characters from this movie were taken from the first film. Like for example, in the novel Chief is the new dog and Copper is the old one. Amos Slade is not named in the novel either, he is called The Master. The widow who takes in Tod is not named Tweed. Finally, in the novel Tod and Copper aren't even friends, they are enemies. Read more at en:The Fox and the Hound (novel). Also note: Disney did not credit The Fox and the Hound 2 as based on the characters created by Daniel P. Mannix in the novel. - Also, I had to correct the Norwegian name. It is To gode venner 2, which means Deux bons amis 2 in French, or Two Good Friends 2 in English. The release date was also wrong, it was on December 12, not November 7. I also added the four main actors in this film, and corrected two typos (it's Tod and Copper, not Todd and Cooper).
