Shimomura[modifier le code]

I guess you don't speak french. So I inform you that what you're doing on the french WP is considered as vandalism, considering that you're still reverting informations referenced according to the official Nobel Foundation's website and that you don't try to discuss the changes. Shimomura is considered at the time of the award announcement as an american citizen, has acquired the US citizenship and has been living in the States for more than 50 yrs. It could be disturbing for you since I guess you're japanese, but that's a fact. See website. The other sources that you're mentioning are press agency news, not really reliable and trustable. At this time, only the official website must be considered. Regards.--LPLT [discu] 9 octobre 2008 à 15:52 (CEST)[répondre]

Thank you for writing in English. I think that Shimomura's nationality is Japan, because of these two pages.
http://nobelprize.org/nobel_prizes/chemistry/laureates/2008/press.html Osamu Shimomura, Japanese citizen.
http://www.asahi.com/national/update/1009/TKY200810090091.html Osamu Shimomura says "I am Japanese. I don't need to be American citizen now. "
Is these information insufficient? トーキ (d) 9 octobre 2008 à 17:04 (CEST)[répondre]
Seems correct. In the article (next-to-last paragraph), Shimomura tells he didn't get US citizenship and just regrets not being able to vote... So I guess he can be listed as "japanese"...? Jotun (d) 9 octobre 2008 à 17:14 (CEST)[répondre]
The google translation is very very approximative and poor... The official website gives USA under his picture. That's the conflicting point whereas the pdf seems to give japanese.--LPLT [discu] 9 octobre 2008 à 18:35 (CEST)[répondre]
