Cette page fournit une liste d'attaques sur des civils attribuées aux forces gouvernementales srilankaises : forces armées srilankaises, rmée de l'air sri-lankaise, forces navales du Sri Lanka (en), police du Sri Lanka (en), etc. Elle ne traite pas de la liste des assassinats effectués par les forces gouvernementales du Sri Lanka, qui sont traités par l'article en anglais List of people killed by Sri Lankan government forces.

Les forces armées du Sri Lanka, qui sont presque exclusivement constituées de personnel appartenant à l'ethnie cingalaise[1] se sont livrées à plusieurs actions violentes contre des Tamouls, y compris de nombreux exemples de massacres de civils, de nettoyages ethniques, de pogroms, de disparitions forcées, de violences sexuelles, de destructions de propriété et d'assassinats des leaders civils tamouls[2].

À l'opposé de cette liste, il existe également une liste des attentats attribués au LTTE.
